Model For A Day

As part of my university module we are asked to make a fashion spread for a magazine that Robert Gordon University produce every year. Nikki and I teamed up to do a fashion spread all about adding texture and colour to a black outfit.

During the planning process, Nikki informed me that I was going to be the model for our spread, I did put a fight but sadly lost. This is something I would have never considered doing because I don’t like to be pictured very often however I did enjoy it and the photographers, Ross and Katherine made it easier for me when we were shooting. Being a model for just one day was tough, the weather was cold and it is extremely hard to get changed in the back of a car with frozen hands but I guess, thats all part of the modelling experience! If someone were to ask me to model again? I’d consider it but I wouldn’t be jumping with joy.

University has played a big part in opening me up to new things and bringing my confidence up which was something I never had prior. I’m very happy with the outcome of the pictures and I wanted to share them with you.

We incorporated faux fur, suede, crushed velvet and leather with a unintentional colour theme of yellow but it worked really well in the end because the magazine will be published in Spring.
